Purity at its Best

Purity... the dreaded subject. Some would run right out the door off of first mention of this subject, but I think that's because they don't fully understand the real meaning of it. Let me further explain. Purity goes way beyond giving ones virginity away. Purity is a state of mind, a way of life. It is a way to honor your heavenly Father, your Creator. I know this concept is probably new for most and it was for me too. But it is truly life changing. You see the battle is won and lost, in the mind. So that is where purity starts, in your mind. It is making the commitment to your Father that in all area's of your life you will chose to honor Him. Purity in the mind means guarding your spirit and soul with what comes in, meaning what one sees, listens to, or reads about. Because whatever you let in, comes right back out through your actions. Do you see where I'm headed with this.... purity is a mindset. It is changing the way one thinks. It is staying far away from things that don't honor God. Purity is a way to draw us closer to God. It says in Philippians 4:8, "Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable- if anything is exellent or praiseworthy- think about such things."
